The preschoolers at Primrose School of Lake Norman recently proved that kindness knows no age. The children, alongside their dedicated teachers and supportive families, joined forces to collect and donate a remarkable number of toys to the local Toys for Tots initiative. The school said the students were able to raise $576, enabling them to purchase 96 toys for children in need. This heartwarming effort brought smiles not only to the children involved but also to the countless families who will benefit from their generosity.

The toy drive is part of the school’s Balanced Learning® curriculum, which emphasizes character development and community involvement as integral aspects of early education. From stuffed animals to educational games, the toys collected reflect the thoughtfulness and enthusiasm of the young donors. The initiative helps students learn the value of giving back while fostering empathy and compassion.

The toys were handed over to local Toys for Tots representatives during a small celebration at the school. Contributions like these play a vital role in bringing joy to children in need.

As the toys find their way to new homes, the preschoolers at Primrose School of Lake Norman are already looking forward to their next community project. Their small but mighty acts of kindness remind us all that it’s never too early to make a difference in the lives of others.
