Langtree Charter Academy’s “Lucky the Lion” Crowned Mascot Dance-Off Champion at the Mooresville Day x Race City Festival

The Town of Mooresville Experience & Engagement team proudly presented Langtree Charter Academy with the championship trophy after winning the annual School Mascot Dance-Off at the 2026 Mooresville Day x Race City Festival. The festival brought thousands of visitors to Downtown Mooresville on Saturday, May 9, 2026, for a day filled with Race City spirit, live entertainment, and family fun. One of the event’s most anticipated attractions was the School Mascot Dance-Off, where mascots from Langtree Charter Academy and Pine Lake Preparatory School faced off on the performance stage in an energetic battle for the championship title and coveted belt.

This year’s competition featured spirited performances from both mascots, continuing a growing festival tradition that celebrates school pride and community spirit. Last year’s competition saw the Mooresville High School Blue Devil take home the championship title, while Pine Lake Preparatory earned runner-up honors.

After an exciting showdown, Lucky the Lion from Langtree Charter Academy was crowned the 2026 School Mascot Dance-Off Champion. Lucky wowed the audience with an energetic routine, entertaining dance moves, and a performance that kept the crowd engaged from start to finish.

The School Mascot Dance-Off has quickly become a fan-favorite tradition at the Mooresville Day Festival, celebrating the enthusiasm and school spirit of local students and schools. The competition once again showcased the strong sense of community that defines Mooresville and brought festivalgoers together for an unforgettable afternoon of entertainment.
