New Girl Scout members can start their adventure today and join Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont (GSCP2P) at a discounted price for a limited time through the Extended Year membership offer.
While the standard Girl Scout membership renews annually on October 1, the Extended Year membership offers all girls in rising grades K-12 and adult volunteers the chance to purchase an 18-month Girl Scout membership.
“We encourage all girls and adults to experience the belonging of Girl Scouts, and this is a great opportunity to kickstart their year of adventure,” said Elaine Loyack, CEO of GSCP2P. “Girl Scouts is the place for growth, exploration and connection, and we are excited to welcome more families to our local council.”
New members can begin their Girl Scout experience now, receive a discount and enjoy up to five extra months of fun through September 30, 2027.
Girl Scouts is where families grow and every girl’s potential is celebrated. By creating spaces where curiosity and courage thrive, girls build resilience and spark wonder by trying new things through fun, shared experiences that inspire growth.
The Girl Scout year can include serving your community like Girl Scout Troop 40182 who took action to spread awareness about the dangers of smoking and vaping, earning them the Girl Scout Silver Award for their leadership and community service. It can also include traveling locally or abroad like Girl Scout Aunica who journeyed on a Girl Scout
Destination to Hawaii called “Pacific Exploration in STEM” where she met girls from across the globe, participated in local service projects and made lifelong memories. At Girl Scouts, girls call the shots and lead their own path with the guidance of caring mentors to discover their passions, create connections and take action to make the world a better place.
Volunteers who start a new Daisy (grades K-1) or Brownie (grades 2-3) troop can receive a complimentary Girl Scout Experience Box mailed monthly to their homes and filled with supplies and step-by-step instructions to rock their troop meetings and have a year of fun with support.
