The Town of Mooresville invites music lovers to experience an evening with one of rock’s most influential bands as Blood, Sweat & Tears with Special Guest Jeff Coffey takes the stage at the Mooresville Performing Arts Center on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 6 p.m.
For more than 50 years Blood, Sweat & Tears has captivated audiences with its signature blend of rock, jazz, blues, and soul. The band’s innovative sound, driven by its iconic horn section, helped redefine popular music and produced timeless hits including “Spinning Wheel,” “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy” and “And When I Die.”
Following the release of their self-titled second album, Blood, Sweat & Tears rose to international fame, spending seven weeks atop the charts and earning the 1970 Grammy Award for Album of the Year. The album has since earned quadruple-platinum status with more than four million copies sold. Throughout their storied career, the band has received 10 Grammy nominations, won three Grammy Awards, performed at the legendary Woodstock festival in 1969 and continues to tour for audiences around the world.
Today, founding member Bobby Colomby continues to hand-select the band’s musicians, carrying forward a tradition of exceptional musicianship that has defined Blood, Sweat & Tears for generations. The current lineup features acclaimed vocalist Keith Paluso, whose performances have earned praise as one of the bands finest frontmen since David Clayton-Thomas. Opening the evening is special guest Jeff Coffey, an acclaimed singer, songwriter and bassist best known as the former lead vocalist of the legendary rock band Chicago. With a career spanning decades, Coffey has performed alongside renowned artists and is celebrated for his powerful vocals, dynamic stage presence and soulful style, making him the perfect addition to an unforgettable night of classic rock.
With only about 60 performances each year, Blood, Sweat & Tears offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience one of classic rock’s most celebrated live acts. Fans can expect an unforgettable evening filled with the band’s greatest hits, outstanding musicianship and the timeless sound that has inspired generations.
The performance will be held at the Mooresville Performing Arts Center, located at 161 S. Magnolia St., Mooresville, NC 28115, on the campus of Mooresville High School. Through a partnership between the Town of Mooresville and the Mooresville Graded School District, the venue hosts a variety of performances and community entertainment throughout the year.
