The 31st Annual Carolina Renaissance Festival is back for another season of medieval magic, running every Saturday and Sunday from October 5th through November 24th, 2024. Located at 16445 Poplar Tent Road in Huntersville, NC, the festival invites guests to experience a 16th-century European village with live jousting tournaments, artisan craft shops, performances, games, and Renaissance-inspired feasts.
What to Expect
The festival spans eight weeks, transforming the 25-acre site into a bustling village brimming with entertainment. Knights in shining armor battle in full-contact jousting matches, artisans display handcrafted goods, and performers delight with comedy, music, and magic across 12 stages. The event is family-friendly, with rides and games for children and a variety of contests.
Food & Drink: Feast on giant turkey legs, soup in bread bowls, and wash it all down with frosty ales, mead, or cider. Themed weekends offer additional fun, with special activities like Pirate Weekend, Celtic Music Weekend, and more.
Special Themed Weekends
Each weekend brings new adventures with themed events, including Halloween Daze & Spooky Knights, Time Travelers Weekend, and the always popular Celtic Christmas Weekend in November. These themed celebrations add extra layers of excitement, from costume contests to special performances.
Tickets and Discounts
Tickets can be purchased in advance online. Discounted tickets and group rates are available. It’s recommended to purchase tickets early, as the event often sells out.
Parking and Accessibility
Parking is free, but arriving early is encouraged to secure a spot, especially on busy weekends. The festival is rain or shine, so prepare accordingly for weather conditions. Gates open at 9:30 AM, and the festivities continue until 5:30 PM each day.
