Young BMX Racer Chase Reynolds Making a Name for Himself

Mooresville, NC – September 27, 2024 Local BMX prodigy Chase “Hollywood” Reynolds has been making waves in the competitive world of bicycle motocross. Despite his young age, Reynolds has already racked up an impressive number of wins and accolades.

Reynolds began racing balance bikes at the tender age of 1.5 at Hornets Nest BMX in Charlotte, NC. Quickly transitioning to pedal bikes at the age of 2 thanks to Woom Bikes, he tore up the southeast on his balance bike while practicing his pedaling. His early success led him to accumulate 5 National Balance Bike wins and 42 overall wins before turning 3. As a 3-year-old novice, Reynolds competed in the 5 and under category, earning 2 wins in his first pedal bike year.

As he continued to grow and develop, Reynolds’s racing skills improved significantly. At the age of 4, he won all 8 remaining races in his category, moving up to intermediate before turning 4.5. Even as the youngest intermediate in North Carolina, Reynolds consistently competed against older riders, participating in larger National and Regional Gold Cup events.

In 2022, Reynolds achieved a major milestone by winning his 5th national title and moving up to the Expert ranks. He became the youngest expert in North Carolina and one of only a handful in the entire country. That year, he also earned the National Age Group Number 1 (NAG 1) title, the Gold Cup 2 plate for the southeast region, and the State Champion for the 5 expert class.

Reynolds’s success continued in 2023, despite falling short of his goal of winning the NAG 1 title. He did, however, earn a National plate, finishing 56th overall. In 2024, Reynolds is once again competing for the NAG 1 position and has also begun racing in the cruiser class.

With 48 national wins and 163 total wins on pedals, Reynolds has big aspirations for the future. He hopes to compete in the UCI BMX Worlds in Denmark next summer and earn a coveted World Ranking.

Off the track, 7-year-old Reynolds is a sweet, loving, and competitive kid who gives 100% effort to everything he does. He is also a talented soccer player and enjoys playing Monster trucks, Pokémon, and spending time with friends.
