Safe Kids Iredell County Launches 5th Annual Winter Weather Drive

Safe Kids Iredell County is kicking off its fifth annual Winter Weather Drive to help keep local children warm during the cold winter months. The drive, which runs from now until Sunday, December 15th, aims to collect new socks, gloves, hats, and other cold-weather items to benefit children of all ages in need in our community.

Community members can donate items at various drop-off locations across the county, including:

  • Iredell County Health Department 318 Turnersburg Hwy, Statesville
  • Iredell County Partnership for Young Children 734 Salisbury Rd, Statesville
  • Iredell County Public Library 201 N. Tradd St, Statesville
  • City of Statesville City Hall 227 S Center St, Statesville
  • Mooresville Police Department 2847 Charlotte Hwy, Mooresville
  • Mooresville Public Library 304 S Main St, Mooresville

As holiday shopping season begins, residents are encouraged to consider donating extra cold-weather items to the Winter Weather Drive.

Safe Kids Iredell County, a local chapter of the national Safe Kids Worldwide organization, is dedicated to preventing unintentional childhood injuries. The organization works to educate and empower families and communities to keep children safe.
