Community Pet Pantry in Need: A Pawsitive Impact

Mooresville, NC – A hidden gem within Cornelius Road Park, a pet pantry built and donated by Girl Scout Troop 2096 as part of their Bronze Award project, is in need of restocking. This community service project, initiated years ago, has been providing essential pet supplies to local residents experiencing temporary hardship.

The photos showcase the hard work and dedication of the Girl Scouts who built the pet pantry.

The self-serve pantry, located behind the playground, offers a lifeline to pet owners who may be struggling to afford necessary items for their furry companions. The pantry is stocked with non-perishable pet food, treats, and other supplies like collars, leashes, and bedding.

Mooresville is grateful for the dedication of its young citizens, particularly the Girl Scouts, who contribute to the community’s well-being through service projects like the pet pantry. These projects demonstrate the power of youth to make a positive impact and foster a sense of civic responsibility.

To ensure the pantry remains a valuable resource for the community, donations of pet supplies are greatly appreciated. Please consider donating items such as:

  • Non-perishable pet food
  • Treats
  • Collars and leashes
  • Pet bedding
  • Grooming supplies
  • Canned pet food

Used or new items are welcome. By donating to the pet pantry, you can help support local pet owners in need and contribute to the well-being of animals in our community.

Let’s work together to keep this valuable community resource thriving!
