Local Boy Scout Troop Collecting Toys for WNC Kids

Mooresville, NC – Troop 377, a local Boy Scout troop, is spearheading a holiday toy drive to aid families in Western North Carolina who were impacted by Hurricane Helene. The initiative aims to bring joy and relief to children who have experienced significant loss and disruption due to the storm.

How to Help:

  • Donate Toys: Bring new, unwrapped toys to one of the designated drop-off locations listed below.
  • Spread the Word: Share this information with friends, family, and colleagues to encourage their participation.

  • Dulcet and Delish
  • Southern Sass Boutique
  • Stardust Skateboard Shop
  • Fred and June Books
  • Ultimate Bar and Grill
  • The Pit

Toy Delivery: The collected toys will be delivered to families in need in Asheville, Swannanoa, Black Mountain, Burnsville, Lake Lure, and Newland between December 20th and 22nd. The troop plans to expand its delivery efforts to additional towns as needed.

Holiday Cheer: In addition to toys, Troop 377 is creating festive candy goodie bags that will be disguised as stockings. These bags will be filled with treats and small Christmas toys, bringing extra holiday cheer to children in need.

A Community Effort: By working together, the community can make a significant impact on the lives of children affected by Hurricane Helene. Troop 377 encourages everyone to participate in this heartwarming initiative and spread holiday cheer.
