Mooresville Dog Mayor Annie Visits Local Schools Ahead of Mooresville Day X Race City Festival

As the Town of Mooresville gears up for the annual Mooresville Day X Race City Festival, Mooresville’s Dog Mayor, Annie, made special visits to local schools to help build excitement for the community celebration taking place on Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Downtown Mooresville.

In the days leading up to the festival, Annie visited students at Pine Lake Preparatory School, Coddle Creek Elementary School, and Parkview Elementary School, where she was warmly welcomed by excited children and staff. During her visits, Annie spent time meeting students, posing for photos, and helping spread the word about the upcoming festival.

Elected as Mooresville’s Dog Mayor, Annie serves as a community ambassador using her platform to engage residents of all ages. Annie also makes appearances at local events and will be in attendance at the Mooresville Day x Race City Festival on Saturday May 9. Her visits to the local schools offered a fun and memorable way to connect with students while encouraging families to take part in one of Mooresville’s signature events.

The Mooresville Day X Race City Festival will take place on Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Downtown Mooresville. This family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, amusement rides, local vendors, community organizations, interactive attractions, and a wide variety of food and beverage options. To make getting to the event easier, a free park-and-ride shuttle will be available at 750 W. Iredell Avenue, including accessible shuttles.
