Mooresville Racing Team Honored at the White House for Championship Season

Team Penske, based in Mooresville, was recognized this week at the White House for its exceptional performance across multiple racing series during the 2023 season.

The organization celebrated championship wins in NASCAR, INDYCAR, and IMSA competition. Drivers Ryan Blaney, Josef Newgarden, and the Porsche Penske Motorsport team were all part of the visit, representing their respective victories in the NASCAR Cup Series, the Indianapolis 500, and endurance racing.

Roger Penske, founder and owner of Team Penske, led the group during the recognition event. The team’s visit marks a tradition of honoring motorsports excellence on a national level.

Team Penske has been a major part of the Mooresville racing community for decades, with a strong presence in American motorsports and a long list of accomplishments.
