Mooresville, NC – Benevolent Bistro, a unique food truck concept focused on healthy, chef-prepared meals and community giving, participated in the Blessing of the Animals event held at St. Patrick’s Church. The event, hosted by the church and inspired by St. Francis of Assisi, celebrated the human-animal bond and supported Lake Norman Humane Society.
Caroline Jones-Carrick, spokesperson for Benevolent Bistro, explained the organization’s mission: “We raise money for local charities, with a different one each month. We wanted to support an animal-based charity in October, especially with the recent hurricane rescues from Asheville.”
Benevolent Bistro’s food truck operates Monday through Friday at lunchtime, offering a convenient and healthy option for those in the busy medical area near Exit 33. Their location at St. Patrick’s Church provides a welcoming environment, complete with outdoor seating, covered space, and planters with fresh herbs.
“We want to be a consistent place for people to get an affordable, prepared meal,” Jones said. “And giving back to the community is a big part of our mission.” The food truck dedicates a portion of their sales to their chosen charity, allowing customers to directly contribute with their purchases.
Beyond their regular lunchtime service, Benevolent Bistro also aims to provide the food truck for special events and fundraising opportunities. They encourage interested parties to follow their website (www.benevolentbistro.com) and social media for updates on upcoming events and gatherings.
“We want to be a resource for the community,” Jones concluded. “Come get a delicious meal, support a good cause, and enjoy the beautiful setting at St. Patrick’s Church.”
Benevolent Bistro is located at 164 Fairview Road in Mooresville and open for business Monday – Friday, 11am – 2pm.
