On Tap Taps into 7th Anniversary with Epic Oktoberfest!

Get ready to raise a stein and shout “Prost!” because On Tap Crafty Brews in Mooresville just threw an Oktoberfest to remember! This year’s celebration doubled as their 7th anniversary bash, and it was a seven-course meal of fun!

The festivities kicked off with the annual Brat Trot 5k, a chance to work up an appetite before diving into the deliciousness. But the real party started after the finish line.

Speaking of overflowing, the steins were practically begging to be hoisted! This year, Lake Norman Riot, the Carolina Panthers’ hype squad, sponsored the stein hoisting competition. Let’s just say, there were some serious arms on display!

Food vendors Zanders Bistro and Pie in the Sky Pizza, both Mooresville staples, kept the crowd fueled with all the Oktoberfest classics: crispy pretzels, juicy brats, schnitzel that practically melted in your mouth, and of course, mountains of potato pancakes. Let’s not forget the pizza! Pie in the Sky brought their A-game, satisfying every cheesy craving.

But this party wasn’t just about beer and brats. Live music filled the air, with the bluegrass stylings of Coddle Creek providing the perfect soundtrack for celebrating.

While everyone enjoyed the festivities, there was a deeper meaning to the event. On Tap, along with Lake Norman Riot, used the occasion to raise money for good causes. Lake Norman Riot, true to their name, are a group of Panthers fans who “roar with a purpose,” supporting local charities and Panthers fans in need.

John Alexander, owner of Zanders Bistro, summed up the spirit of the event perfectly. “We’re here today supporting Rick and the good work he’s doing,” he said, referring to Rick, the owner of On Tap.

So if you missed out on this year’s On Tap Oktoberfest, don’t worry! With their dedication to community and good times, you know they’ll be back next year, bigger and better than ever. Just remember to train your stein-hoisting arm – you might just win some serious bragging rights!
