Mooresville Welcomes New Police Officers and Honors Hurricane Relief Efforts

Mooresville, NC – Last night, the Board of Commissioners meeting welcomed three new officers and highlighted the efforts of the Public Operations teams who helped with Hurricane Helene cleanup.

Jeremy Bliss, Brandon Slough, and Tate Bentley were all sworn in as Mooresville Police Department Officers. Their families helped pin the officers and witnessed their Oath of Office. The three officers are already serving our community.

Town Manager Jerome honored 46 employees who helped with Hurricane Helene cleanup efforts in Mooresville, applauding their efforts before, during, and after the storm. The employees are part of the Streets, Sanitation, Public Utilities, and Parks Services Departments.

Additionally, Commissioner Karriker and Commissioner Qualls read proclamations for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Polio Eradication Month.
