Mooresville, NC – Under the Friday Night Lights on November 1, 2024, marks the launch of an impactful initiative called “Athletes Against Hunger”, a collaborative effort among the local nonprofit FeedNC, high school athletes, coaches, and athletic directors, aimed at addressing the issue of food insecurity here in Mooresville. Rivals Mooresville Senior High School and Lake Norman High School will play for the FeedNC Cup this Friday, November 1st at 7 PM. This trophy and campaign seek to leverage the visibility of football, the influence of high school athletes, and the excitement of athletics to raise awareness to fight local hunger.

In partnership with FeedNC, LKN High School and Mooresville High School Athletic Directors, coaches, and The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, will spearhead efforts, and food drives, and help raise awareness about hunger in the local community. The “Athletes Against Hunger Initiative” believes that every student has access to healthy food.
