Mooresville Now had the honor of attending the dress rehearsal for Mooresville Community Children’s Theatre’s (MCCT) production of A Year With Frog and Toad, Jr., and we can confidently say—this is a show you won’t want to miss!

As soon as the young performers took the stage, we were instantly swept into the whimsical world of Frog and Toad. The stage was beautifully designed, bringing the beloved characters to life with charming props and adorably amazing costumes. The young performers filled the theater with energy, talent, and heart, proving that MCCT has once again delivered a magical production for all ages.

This delightful musical, based on the beloved books by Arnold Lobel, follows two best friends, Frog and Toad, as they journey through the seasons. Together, they plant gardens, go swimming, rake leaves, and even take on winter sledding—all while embracing their differences and celebrating the power of friendship. With catchy songs, vivid characters, and a heartwarming message about kindness and imagination, this show is pure joy from start to finish.
