The Town of Mooresville was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025, by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA).
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. The Town has received this award for 15 consecutive years, from 2011-2025.
The Town of Mooresville also received, for the 6 th consecutive year, the GFOA’s Triple Crown Award for fiscal year ending 2024. The town is one of 441 governments to achieve this special recognition, which is awarded to governments that receive GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, the Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award, and Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for a given fiscal year.
