Experience Art, History, and Storytelling in Mooresville Arts’ Newest Exhibits

Mooresville Arts is pleased to announce its two newest exhibits that are currently on display at the Depot: United in Art and Tell Me a Story.

The United in Art Exhibit is being showcased in the Depot’s Center Gallery. Twenty-nine local and regional artists are participating in this show. A variety of media is on display, including painting, photography, collage and mixed media, pottery, sculpture and more.

Tell Me a Story. Artist Stephen Lursen. Under His Light, Into His Rest. $1,440

The United in Art Exhibit is a special commemorative exhibit, honoring the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. Artists were challenged to display artwork that celebrates this important milestone for our country. In addition, the Mooresville Museum has a special exhibit on display in the Center Gallery, alongside the United in Art Exhibit; guests can see period costumes, historical memorabilia and more!

United in Art. Artist Dana Pape. Sunset Salute $1250

The Tell Me a Story Exhibit is being showcased in the Depot’s Skylight Gallery, and twenty-nine local and regional artists have artwork, inspired by literature, poems and book art. Paintings, mixed media, chocolate art, collage and more are featured in this exhibit. This showing is a creative display of storytelling and is a bridge between the visual arts and the literary arts.

Both United in Art and Tell Me a Story are on display now through Thursday, August 13th, 2026. Please join us for the artists’ reception on Friday, July 10th from 6-8pm. Everyone is welcome to join us! Light refreshments will be served. Stop by and check out these exhibits and meet the artists!

Gallery Hours are Tuesday-Thursday 12-4pm, Friday 2-8pm and Saturday 10am-4pm. Most of the artwork is for sale, and art sales directly benefit participating artists and Mooresville Arts, a nonprofit arts gallery and organization.
