Mooresville families should plan for another weather-related closure this week.
Mooresville Graded School District announced that all district facilities will be closed on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, with the district’s remote learning plan in effect.
District officials emphasized safety, urging families and staff to stay off the roads if possible and remain warm as winter weather continues to impact the area.
What Families Need to Know
School & Facilities
- All MGSD schools and facilities will be closed Tuesday.
- The February 3 Board of Education meeting is canceled and will be rescheduled for March 3, with all business items moved to that meeting.
Extracurricular Activities
- All before- and after-school activities, sports practices, and MGSD community events are canceled.
BASP
- The Before and After School Program (BASP) will be closed.
Remote Learning Details
Remote learning will be asynchronous, meaning students do not need to meet virtually with teachers at scheduled times.
- Kindergarten–5th Grade
- Students should complete their inclement weather packet for Tuesday.
- Families should also check their teacher’s ParentSquare feed for any additional instructions.
- 6th–12th Grade
- Students should log into Canvas and check ParentSquare for assignment details and updates from teachers.
