Mooresville Arts is Pleased to Announce its 22nd Annual Youth Art Show

116 young artists entered this year’s show: artwork ranges from paintings, drawings, photography, pottery, mixed media and more! The artists’ receptions were held on Friday, March 6th and over four-hundred people were in attendance to celebrate these talented and budding artists!

Dixon Handshaw, Board Chair of Mooresville Arts, had this overall commentary for this year’s show:

“One of my favorite things to do at Mooresville Arts is to judge the Youth Art Show. This show epitomizes our mission to our community by giving emerging artists an opportunity to showcase their work. If you have never been in to see this show, you are missing out. It is worth the trip. Their artwork is something you need to see. Young artists take risks, they see things older artists sometimes don’t see any more. I am always impressed by the authenticity and the creativity of these young artists.  So, stop by when you can to see the world through the eyes of these young people. This is Mooresville Arts doing what it does best.”

Thank you to this year’s sponsor: Thomas & Webber, Law at the Lake. We greatly appreciate your continued support of the arts in our community!

Thank you to the panel of ten artists, teachers and arts professionals who helped judge this show!

Last, but not least, thank you to each of the students who participated in this opportunity this year; your work is inspiring!
