Now on Display: Fiber Art & Pop Culture at Mooresville Arts

Mooresville Arts is pleased to announce its two newest exhibits!

Two exhibits are currently on display at the Depot: The Art of Fiber Exhibit and Pop Culture, a Themed Exhibit.

The Art of Fiber Exhibit is being showcased in the Depot’s Center Gallery. Eighteen local and regional artists are participating in this show, with forty-one artworks on display. A variety of fiber media is on display, including quilting, felting, hooked wool, tapestry, macramé, paper mâché and more. In addition, a quilt and other items created in the Gees Bend quilting community in Alabama are on display during this exhibit. This truly is a diverse showcase, and the talent, creativity and skill of these fiber artists should not be missed!

Pop Culture, a Themed Exhibit is being showcased in the Depot’s Skylight Gallery, and nineteen local and regional artists have artwork, inspired by pop culture and pop art on display! Paintings, mixed media, collage and more are featured in this exhibit.

Sandy Eaton’s Best Dog Food Ever, a clay piece, is available for $275.
Vaishnavi Vankayala’s My Ideal Friday Night, priced at $250.
Trevor Bowman’s Brews, Pups & Paddles, an acrylic painting, is available for $150.
Tara McCartney’s Unmasking Incredible is available for $75.
Suzette Picozzi’s Extra Butter is available for $150.
Renu Singh’s Pop Rani is available for $350.
Rachel J. Haungs’ The Band – Clarinet is available for $350.
Rachel J. Haungs’ The Band – Banjo is available for $350.
Tuxedo Kat (2023) by Pimp Daddy Boo Bear is available for $3,000.
Patrick Turner’s Mystic Vibes is available for $250.
Maryjo Gunning’s The Entrepreneurs, an acrylic painting, is available for $225.
Maikol Garcia’s Sequel is available for $500.
Lynda Santoni’s Oh Bother is available for $180.

Jaana Rasmussen’s Zoomed In is available for $250.
White and Black Minimalist Simple Thank You Card is available for $29.
Eliza Dunaway’s Taste the Rainbow is available for $240.

Both The Art of Fiber and Pop Culture, a Themed Exhibit are on display now through Thursday, August 14th, 2025. Please join us for the artists’ reception on Friday, July 11th from 6-8pm. Everyone is welcome to join us! Light refreshments will be served. Stop by and check out these exhibits and meet the artists!

Gallery Hours are Tuesday-Saturday 12-4pm. Most of the artwork is for sale, and art sales directly benefit participating artists and Mooresville Arts, a nonprofit arts gallery and organization.
