A Year of Service for Mooresville Fire-Rescue

The 2025 data is in, and it tells a powerful story. It is one defined by dedication, rapid response, and an unwavering commitment to the Mooresville community.

From the front lines to front doors across town, Mooresville Fire-Rescue crews worked around the clock this past year, answering thousands of calls and showing up when it mattered most.

In 2025, Mooresville Fire-Rescue responded to 8,949 total calls for service, with 58 percent of those calls dedicated to life-saving medical and EMS response. These numbers reflect just how often firefighters are not only battling fires, but also providing urgent medical care, often serving as the first critical help on scene.

Fire suppression remained a vital part of the department’s mission. Over the course of the year, firefighters successfully responded to 173 actual fires, bringing skill, training, and calm under pressure to some of the most dangerous situations imaginable.

Beyond emergency response, Mooresville Fire-Rescue continued its strong focus on prevention and education. Crews reached 15,453 people through 158 public education events, reinforcing safety awareness throughout the community. In addition, firefighters installed 1,065 smoke alarm batteries, helping ensure homes across Mooresville remain protected long after the visit ends. The department also inspected and installed 99 car seats, giving families added peace of mind and helping keep children safe on the road.

The numbers also highlight standout units that set the pace in 2025. Engine 2 led the department with 2,284 calls for service, while Ladder 5 responded to the most actual fires, with 80 fire responses. These crews exemplify the teamwork and readiness that keep Mooresville protected day and night.

No matter the shift—A, B, or C—the commitment remains the same. Around the clock, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, Mooresville Fire-Rescue continues to serve with professionalism, courage, and heart.

These numbers represent far more than statistics. They reflect real people helped, real emergencies answered, and a department that shows up for its community every single day.
