Nine Graduate from Iredell County Emergency Medical Service Apprentice Paramedic Program

Another group of future lifesavers is officially ready to serve.

Recently, nine apprentices with Iredell County Emergency Medical Service celebrated a major milestone as they graduated from the Paramedic Program at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. The ceremony brought together graduates, instructors, and leadership from Iredell County Government to recognize months of dedication, hard work, and perseverance.

The graduates of this cohort include Isabel Colberg, Sophia Kubera, Roger LA Flamme, Drew Lowell, Michael McCaskill, Shelby Shampine, Tyler Shoffner, Kathy Ware, and Jacob Wingler.

Through the Iredell County EMS Apprentice Paramedic Program, participants receive hands-on training while preparing for the realities of emergency medical care, learning skills that will directly impact lives across Iredell County and surrounding communities.

Leadership with Iredell County EMS shared their pride in the group, celebrating not only their academic achievement but also their commitment to public service. Each graduate now moves forward equipped with the knowledge and experience needed to respond in moments that matter most.
