It has been an unforgettable season for students at Mooresville High School, with both the competition cheer team and dance team reaching milestones that put Mooresville on the national stage.
In just their second year of existence, the Mooresville High School dance team, the Dancing Devils, is traveling to Orlando, Florida, to compete in the UDA National Competition. The achievement reflects months of hard work and dedication, along with strong support from families, MGSD staff and administration, and the Mooresville community.

Team members shared how excited they are to represent their program at nationals and celebrate how far they have come together in such a short time.
Meanwhile, the Mooresville High School Competition Cheer team is wrapping up a record-breaking season of its own.

The squad earned two first-place regional titles, securing bids to both UCA Nationals and NCA Nationals. In January, the team also captured the NCHSAA State Championship in their division, marking the first state championship win in Mooresville Cheerleading history.

Next up, the cheer team will compete at UCA Nationals on February 7 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World, facing off against 21 top varsity squads from across the country.
Coaches and supporters say they are proud of the resilience these athletes have shown throughout the season. From long practices to trusting the process, every step led to this moment.

Community members have been cheering the teams on as they head to Orlando, celebrating not only their wins but the commitment and teamwork that made it all possible.
With both cheer and dance teams representing Mooresville on the national stage, it is a proud moment for the school and the entire community.
