Mooresville Arts Unveils Two Inspiring New Exhibits at the Depot

Mooresville Arts is pleased to announce its two newest exhibits!
Two exhibits are currently on display at the Depot: Collective Voice: Paint, Clay & Light and The Art of Pastels Collective Voice: Paint, Clay & Light is being showcased in the Depot’s Center Gallery. Eight local and regional artists are participating in this show, with one-hundred-and-one artworks on display. Paintings, photography and clay/ mixed media are featured in this curated showcase of local talent.

Participating artists include: Renee Calder (pottery/ mixed media), Vivian Coleman (acrylic paintings), Nancy Hilliard Joyce (mixed media paintings), Helen Langhorne (pottery), Amy Pennell (oil paintings), Michael Ritzie (photography), James Shaver (ink and watercolor paintings), and Vanessa Thorman (watercolor paintings).

The Art of Pastels is being showcased in the Depot’s Skylight Gallery, and fifteen local and regional artists have artwork, inspired by the media of pastels! Chalk and oil pastels, as well as pottery, are featured, for a total of twenty-nine pieces on display.

Participating artists include: Laurie Basham, Cecilia Borders, Malia Bryngelson, Shirley Buckler, Kara Bugis, Regina Burchett, Ah Ra Cho, Sandy Eaton, Rachel J Haungs, Casey Lombardi, Betty Morgan, Lauren O’Connell, Janet Visser, Beverly Walker and Derick Well

Both Collective Voice: Paint, Clay & Light and The Art of Pastels are on display now through Thursday, September 25, 2025. An artists’ reception was held on Friday, August 22nd , and over one-hundred attendees joined in on celebrating these two shows and the participating artists.

Gallery Hours are Tuesday-Saturday 12-4pm. Most of the artwork is for sale, and art sales directly benefit participating artists and Mooresville Arts, a nonprofit arts gallery and organization.
