Four members of Iredell County EMS have reached a significant professional milestone, graduating from the UNC Charlotte EMS Management Institute, one of the most respected leadership development programs in the emergency medical services field.
The graduates include:
- Lieutenant Brandy Mitchell
- Lieutenant Angela Hobbs
- Training Officer Dustin Allen
- Logistics Coordinator Nicholas Hiatt

The UNC Charlotte EMS Management Institute is widely regarded as a gold‑standard program for EMS leadership training. Spanning six months, the curriculum focuses on organizational leadership, personnel management, strategic planning, and operational excellence. Participants complete an intensive series of courses designed to strengthen leadership capacity within EMS agencies across the region.
