Rocky River Elementary is getting ready to run for something truly special! The Rocky River Racers Fun Run, organized by the PTO and powered by Boosterthon, is happening on Halloween during school hours, and it’s more than just a fun day of fitness and school spirit. This year’s goal is to raise $35,000 for additional swing sets on both playgrounds.
Anyone who’s been to Rocky River during recess knows how much the students love to swing. Right now, there just aren’t enough to go around, and kids often spend time waiting for their turn. More swings mean more smiles, and swinging helps children build muscle strength, improve coordination, and release energy while providing important mental and sensory benefits that help them thrive both in and out of the classroom.
